German is OK, I bought my German livebearer book and, really, after I learned the German-English colors/ black, white, yellow, grey.... the rest was fairly easy to guess at. I do not read/speak German.

A lot of text in writing about fish: size, water temp, PH, involves numbers. And as a hobbyist, not a scientist, I'm mostly want very good pictures, and indication of size, sexual diferences, foods, water type (lazy pool, fast stream) and stuff....
