A loach in a tank with a Cichlid is only a good idea if you give them good hiding places. I'm not sure about the cichlids you have, but I had a electric blue johani and that little bugger would beat up my loaches. I think he might have killed one of them. But now hes spending his life in my friends over populated tank. Once again hiding places is the key. Clowns are much fun to keep and yoyo loaches are cool too.
