pH for discus

Hi. I have a pH of 7.4. I was wondering if this was ok for discus. My water isn't hard. I'm going to age water(to get rid of chlorine) for water changes in a 10g tank. If 7.4 isn't low enough, how much(and what kind of) peat should I use for 10g to get it to 7.0? Thanks
