Update on mystery "Polka-dot" loaches

I finally managed to snap a picture when one of these active little things was unsuspecting. I took the photo to an lfs that I frequent (not where the fish were purchased) and the owner told me it looked like a pattern variation or subspecies of mongoose loach. SO...back home I came to find the index picture-this is the closest match as yet! Although the pattern is slightly different, the body type is the same. My loaches have the flattened nose, three lateral bars going across the back and three coming up from under the belly, and 3-4 dots going down the lateral line toward the rear of the body. OK, next question, anyone have info. on Mongoose loaches?

Thanks, Juli
