Bananas to Clowns?

I OWN A 100 GAL. COMUNITY TANK, IN WHICH ARE INCLUDED 10 CLOWN LOACHES RANGING IN SIZE FROM 2 1/2" TO 4". I HAVE TO ADMIT THEY ARE MY GREATEST CONCERN, AND IM ALWAYS TRYING TO MEET THEIR FOOD DEMANDS, WHICH IS VERY HARD TO GET DOWN HERE IN MEXICO. I VISIT REGULARLY THE U.S. SO I MANAGED TO BRING BACK FROZEN BLOODWORMS AND BRINESHRIMP. WHILE BEING THERE, I ASKED TO THE PET SHOP CLERK WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL HELP MY CLOWNS ENHANCE THEIR COLOR, TO MY SURPRISE HE SAID "BANANAS" PLACE A PIECE OF BANANA ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR AQUARIUM EVERY OTHER TIME AND THAT WILL HELP. I KEEP THINKING OF WHAT HE SAID BUT I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR SOME OTHER OPINIONS BEFORE I TRY IT OUT.

THANKS,

Oscar S.
