My four clowns and one plecostomus destroy the zuchinni. I put in a good sized slice, minus the skin(I've heard that traces of pesticides can remain in the skin), and get out of the way. The pleco goes at it first, then the loaches wake up and go at it. I feed this regularly, as my other fish will eat wafers before the loaches can have a go. I don't have to worry about removing it, as it is usually devoured within 12 hours.
