The pet shop I got my tank at had a guy there that had kept about every kind of botia there was and said this is what he found. Modestas aren't aggressive unless bugged. Skunks go good with clowns and will only chase their own species if there are enough, and modestas can get really tough. He said his tiger botia was chasing around his modesta and the modesta got sick of it, so he turned around and wacked the tiger right in the gills. The tiger died within 20 minutes. I guess another thing I might have to do is see what botia species I can actually find. If I can find sidthimunkis than maybe if I have a little extra money(which I doubt)I could get them. Plus I would really like some striatas and darios. So many botias and so little space!
