I use a Fuval in ly main tank and the only complaint I have is its not very good at machanical filtering so I keep a small Fluval 1 power sponge filter going to pull debris out of the tank water. Its easy to clear and keeps thecanister cleaner for longer. I manually refil the canister (thru the inlet pipe) with tank water from a jug after cleaning and it restarts first time, every time this way. It a bit fiddly to disconnect and reconnect but the new 204/304/404 series are MUCH better. I don't use a spray bar as my clowns love the outlet current. One of their favourite games is swimming in to the outlet stream and going as hard as they can to make progress. I guess they think they are swimming up steam. Is this the fishy equivalent of an exercise wheel? Alistair.
