About two weeks ago I did a pH test on one of my tanks using the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals kit - bromthymol blue.

At the time the pH was 7. I (slob, yes) left the closed test tube in the bathroom. Over the past two weeks I've noticed that when the weather is changing and major rainstorms are on their way, or here, the pH goes down to 6.8 and then 6.6 when there are thunderstorms with the rain.

When the sky is blue and the air is dry the pH reads 7.4.

I thought, hey, don't need to hear the weather report, BUT, today the pH read 7.2, we had a brief shower which cleared up and in a short while the sky was blue. Now the pH reads 7.4 again.

What do you think? Could I do without The Weather Network????
