Itchy Clown Loaches

I've noticed that all four of my loaches at some time over the last two weeks started to rub against the bogwood and rocks in my tank. I cannot see any ich spots on them and they show no other signs of disease, although, I have lost three Tiger Barbs in the last week. Basically their bellies seemed to have gotten large and they started shiverring and staring at the bottom of the tank. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

FYI - my tank is 33 gallons with 4 clowns, 12 Tiger Barbs, 1 Pleco, 2 Pearl gouramis. Water temp is at 80 degs., water conditions are normal. I feed them a varied diet including cucumbers.
