I'm no expert but I think Thoene would be pronounced something like "Thoe-na" auf Deutsch (pronounce 'Thoe' as kind of a cross between 'toe' and 'tune'). I think that would sound rather like 'Turner' spoken with a British accent. You wouldn't believe how many people ask me to spell 'Windsor'. I tell 'em it's like the castle.
