The filtration system that comes with this tank is different than anything I've ever dealt with personally. The tank uses the gravel for biological filtration, there's mesh between the gravel and the bottom (gravel tidy Martin? :) handily exposed to my view in places by the resident cichlids, and there are 4 outlets drilled into the bottom of the tank. I assume the tubes running from two of these go to the big ol' Ocean Clear canister filter run by at least a 600 gph water pump and there is an in-line heater module that houses the heater.
