I am transferring a 29 into a 125 in about 4 months. That means a lot more gravel. I was thinking of putting the new dead (no bacteria) gravel on the bottom and cover it with the old live (hopefully bacteria filled) gravel. Does this sound logical? Any other suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I dream of this stuff at night trying to make it come out right. I am also very concerned for my fish in this switch, everyone keep their fingers crossed.
