I am looking for anything and everything related to the different natural habitats of botias. My Loach details page has some stuff I have found regarding pH, GH, temp., etc, but I would like more. Like rivers vs. lakes, black waters or clear, slow currents or fast, other fish often found with, anything. Are they from rice patties or forest streams where there is little plant life? And I am very interested in diet. What little critters are they eating. Ken eluded to a missing dietary need to keep some of his B. histrionica in their nice gold color, I can help but think a lot of our fish are missing something.
