Hmm....my big angel is gone...now what?

I gave my angelfish to the lfs(well actually sold for $8 which is way more than I expected)because of troubles with it's compadibility with my clown loach. Those two kept fighting and just wouldn't give up. I just put on the first coat of varnish on my tank stand last night, and hope to have my tank ready to start cycling by Tuesday. I though a lot about what to do with my new space and have come up with this question...If I transferred my 4 gouramis, 4 loaches, 3 danios, and 1 pleco...could I keep a semi-peaceful environment with them and a few other loaches(hopefully B. dario and another clown) in my 55 gallon tank? Also, since I have thought hard about getting some type of dwarf cichlid, how many gold/blue rams, kribs, or juliochromis could I keep in a 20 gallon tank with about 7 or 8 tetras and a pleco?
