Botia Striata eats what?

I have noticed that besides my botia striata eating small flakes of food that come by, and scavenging in the rocks, they seem to be eating algae off of the plant leaves and also off of the driftwood. Do they normally do this, or are my loaches starving or something? I know I am probably paranoid, but I just don't want to lose any of these guys:-).
