Deformed Dojo

Hi all, I can tell from the discussions here that somebody will be able to help me with this somewhat difficult self imposed problem. I saw a Dojo Loach at the local pet shop today that had a distinctive "S" curve in his spine. I felt sorry for him and bought him since I knew that they would never sell him in that condition. I have 2 other Dojo's and some Kuhlis in a sand bottomed cool water tank, but I'm kinda afraid to introduce this guy because I have absolutely no idea what he might be carrying. The gal at the shop said that they'd had him "like forever" He's in my 5 gal isolation tank for the time being. Is this some kind of Loach specific disease or did he just suffer some kind of trauma in his younger days? He seems healthy otherwise, he eats like a pig and likes to sit in my hand, just
