Zebra's are relatively nocturnal, so you are very lucky to have such an active fish. I've kept a Zebra before, and mine was quite reclusive. I never brought any additional Zebra's because of a size restriction at the time, and I guess that is why mine seemed to "treat" me with his presence once in a while. They are absolutely beautiful creatures though. Even though he was the shy type, he lived a good, full life. I do believe that they are good in groups, and mine was always peaceful, coexisting with my little Julii Cory's at the bottom of the tank. They should do better with a couple of pals though.
