Sudden Death Question

Hi..found this forum tonight, just after finding my two 3 yr. old clown loaches dead. they were ok this am at feeding. Tank is 35 gal. with 8 other fish in it. These clowns were bright in colour, 4.5 in. long and appeared very healthy.Only thing that changed is the addition of a pleco last week. They were active, and seemed happy little guys. All levels in tank appear to be normal. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
