Clown loach qestion

I am wanting to get a clown loach and upgrade to a larger tank in a year or so. How much will a clown loach grow in a year? I have a peppered cory and i think they will make good botton companions!!! Any one know why my peppered cory rests on top of the powerhead? Anyway, i have 1 Australian Rainbowfish, 1 spotted pleco, the cory, 2 black ruby barbs, and 2 tiger barbs which i have heard that the clown will try to school with because of the similar color markings. So will the clown be a good addition? Thanks for the answers!!
