In Response To: Re: House Plants--Thanks for all the input...and Nomad...? (Dave)

About that Java Fern. I'm still on the plant thing, because I need the most efficient thing to work. Is the Java Fern especially good at absorbing nitrates, or is it just as good as any other aquatic plant? I posted above to JD, and Cid about using the house plants, but I'm so worried about poisoning the fish, though they don't seem to see that as a problem. But, if I'm going to submerge these things in the water, then maybe I really should just get the "real" plants. And, also, my regular fluorescent light will be sufficient?

Thanks for the help.
