Keeping shistura scaturiginas happy

I posted earlier that I had been was fortunate enough to find eight Shistura scaturiginas in my local fish shop. I understand I was lucky to find them here in the states. They seem to be doing well but I have not been able to find good info about them. I am concerned because I have very hard water and am concerned about long term problems this may cause. Right now they are in my 150 gallon plant tank until I finish setting up and cycling a river tank. I have been feeding mostly dry flake and granular food with the occasional small red worm. I tossed in a couple of earwigs(I cut their heads off first but don't tell my girlfriend or she will hide the scissors from me) that hitched in under the bark of some firewood and they went nuts! They were like mini sh
