I have to agree with Fran.

I have kept mine with Angels but I'd never keep them with my African Rift Lake Ciclids just because of the difference in the water they need. 7.5 is acceptable for Clowns and borderline for ARL cichlids but if you add crushed coral to raise hardness and pH in an African tank the pH is probably going to be above 8 and in some cases, closer to 9. I just can't believe that Clowns would thrive in those conditions.

And don't we all want thrive rather than survive?
