I think adding the extra loachis a good idea. One thught, where is the tank located? If it is in an area that gets heavy traffic, they might be a bit put off by all of the activity. I have three clowns that are out and about all the time, except one of them hides quickly when there is a human or cat that comes too close. It will stay hidden briefly, then come out and get back to business. They all thre come to the surface to eat, click and clack! Hope your new addition does wonders for the other two.
