hillstream loaches aka...chinese butterfly loach

i am looking for any information on the hillstream loach....i currently have one and am looking for information on feeding habits. i know (or have read) that they are algae eaters. i feed all my fish live black worms, frozen brine shrimp and algae wafers. i have also read they are more active at night. i have a concern cause he rarely leaves the glass and wonder if he will seek out the algae wafer i put in? i was also thinking about getting the dried algae sheets and wondered about those. i try and put live worms near him on the glass. i don't see him eating much. do they search for food on the substrate? he is currently in a 30 g with a pair of angelfish and one gobie. perhaps his habits will change and venture out more once he gets use to his
