I've never experienced this personally Mickie but if I were you I'd just sit back and let it take it's course. There are others who will disagree and suggest a range of chemicals but if the advice in the archives say it's rarely fatal then I wouldn't take any drastic action just yet. I've seen your website and your contributions on other message forums so I know you don't need any advice on aquarium maintenance :-) so just look out for the obvious things that you mentioned (clamped fins, etc) before even contemplating medication, and even then only medicate when you are at least 99% sure you know what you're treating.
