What do you mean, you clean the bio-wheel!?!

Matt, you should never touch the bio-wheel unless it gets really mucked up, and then rinse it gently in tank water only. From my experience, that situation is very rare. As I said in one of my posts, it takes a bio-wheel about 6 weeks to get established, even if your water is cycled. The more discolored it is, the better it's working.
