Clown Loach localities

I've just read the article by Martin Thoene about the color variation of Botia macracantha or Clwon Loach. Maybe someone else had pointed this out but I am not aware of it. My apologies if what I'm writing now is old news! Borneo Island is also known as Kalimantan. So there should be no difference between a Borneo and Kalimantan fish. Malaysians call their side of the island Borneo while we in Indonesia call it Kalimantan. Clown loach does not occur in the Malaysian side (Malaysian Borneo states of Sarawak and Sabah). Basically, this species lives only in rivers systems that used to connect in the last Ice Age. In Sumatra they occur only in river systems south of Rengat in Riau province to Lampung (all the rivers that empty to the east only) and in Kalimantan they occur in West Kaliman
