Clowns and dropsy

Are clown loaches susceptable to dropsy? I have had a bunch of platies which have all but dwindled to 1 over the past 6 months due to dropsy, where they would stiffen up into like a C shape and start to bloat and die. Now I noticed that one of my clowns is on the way out exhibiting the same symptoms. Through all this, all the tetras (red serpae and robertsi) and 2 small pictus catfish have prospered. Is dropsy contageous and are clowns prone to this like the platies?
