While we're all looking at pictures of sids on the LOL page, I may be imagining it, but the markings on the caudal fins of the fish photo'd by Ken (which _I_ believe are nigrolineatas) are more triangular in shape than the caudal fin markings of the fish photo'd by Max Gibb (which _I_ believe to be a sid) - this fish looks like it has a more rounded marking.

When I bought my "sids" fron the Field Aquatic Nursery nr. Canterbury, I saw two adult sids (the owner told me they were at least 7 years old) in their 5' display tank - they were no greater than 2" (approx) SL.

some more dribble into the equation ....
