Loaches in the literature of yesteryear...

I've had some spare time the last couple of evenings and have taken to pulling random books off the shelves of my office for a quick read. This afternoon I re-found my first ever fish book, a small handbook of tropical fishes, originally printed in 1976 but mine is the modern version dated 1978 :-)

This book must have been the Aquarium Atlas of it's time as it proclaims quite clearly that it describes, in detail, almost 90 different species! No photographs either, just a couple of hand drawings that aren't a patch on what Martin has drawn for LOL. Anyway, although most of the information given for clowns and kuhlis is no different to what we read today I
