mail order fishes and Clown loach prices

Last time I went to one of the LFS i was looking at the clown loaches and they cost $12.99. Is that really expensive? what do ya'll pay? if they coat that much-forget it! I have not been able to find them any where else except wally-world Im not getting them from there! oh, I did find a mail order internet thing where they were really cheap would this be a good idea to do? I can also orded other loaches. please tell me your experiences.
