Kuhli fungus

I had two regular kuhlis and 2 black kuhlis in my 150 gallon planted tank for about three maybe four years. Last week I saw a patch of fungus on one of the regular kuhlis and while doing a water change last night I found a dead black kuhli. I have not seen symptoms on any other fish. There have been no major changes in the last month or so other than moving my victory loaches (Shistura scaturigina)out to their new river tank. My first reaction is the kuhlis have weakened immune systems due to their age. Does anyone know what the normal life span is for these guys?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Scott
