54 gal. curved tank, with loaches

My girlfriend wants to buy a 54 gal. corner tank and fill it up with loaches! I was wondering if I could put a whole bunch of diffrent kinds of loaches together? Or is one breed not compatible with another, and what are the best kind to buy???? Thanx for any suggestions early!!! :) Oscar dude
