I was considering who the spines are attached and that alone may discount the theory. Oh well thoughtt I would throw it out there anyhow. It was the morleti ripping the 'yoyo' open that triggered the thought.

Now here it is again..."I was thinking about the toxins that are released when poked by their spines"

I have been stuck...stuck good and other then the pain of the puncture nothing. No swelling, itching, numbing ect... It is not too unbelievable but it seems a bit odd given the proximity to the eyes and my run-in. Is this all species, just botia, specific fish? It would have to be pretty toxic if it attaced the nervous system would it not? Hummmmm now I'm thinking again :)
