Not going to try and keep the dream alive here because it was only a thought to being with but to answer your questions..
>Wouldn't you think that if they used their spines to stick food that they would
>flick them out while feeding..or if anyone has fed live foods before, wouldn't
>they have used them there? Not stick any live food ...just fish. How many people feed fish to their loaches :) My original thought was in regards to mature fish. Fish most of us will not see in our aquariums, or will take a good number of years to raise. I'm thinking if the diet changes then why not the methods for eating? Perhaps in some cases people have experienced some instinctive behavior when their loaches kill. Is it all agression?
> Or you would think there would have been stories about it somewhere, especially
>here with all the loaches people have. How many stories do you know of about clown breeding? How many about their endemic waters ect... ;) Yes, I suppose this is highly unlikey but it is just a thought. I doubt seriously if anyone has the size of fish I am considering and if so the ammount of room that might be required to allow the loach to hunt. The things we do not know outweigh those we do but still we succeed. Playing with ideas like this keeps things intresting I think.
