cycling 10 gallon--what next?

I am in the process of cycling my 10 gallon tank. I have been using a product called Cycle to help. Today I tested my water to find my nitrites up. This means that my tank has cycled right? If so, will the nitrites go down by them selves, or will I need to do something to about them. The nitrites are not extreamely high (I forgot to right down the number), but they are definately above normal...maybe 3, 4, or 5 (not sure though). How long will it take for my nitrites to go down before I can begin to add fish? Any help appriciated. Thanks! 0< Kara
