It is amazing how these fish can hide - and they don't have to burrow to do it. Check all your tank ornaments. Check any little holes in your driftwood. And above all, check your filter - yes, really! If you have any type of noticable current at all coming out of your filter, the clown will play in it, especially at a young age. So, they swim up into the current, overdo it, and end up inside the filter if there is any possible way to accidentally fit.
