Hi nick Here's what I've found on this fish Wels Catfish (Silurus Glanis) Occurs in larg lakes and rivers, though occasionally enters brackish waters. They get 500cm long and max. weight 306kg max age reported 30 years. All I can say is this is one big fish.

The going into brackish water may have disqualfied it from the question. Thats my best geuss at it. Only the ones who worte the question know for sure.
