In Response To: Thawing frozen food (Loay)

Loay,

I thaw mine before I give it, because my fish are just so greedy, they don't wait for it to thaw.

I take a cup, put the frozen cube(s) in, then add enough water to cover them. I then stand it in the fridge until the cube(s) have melted. Usually do this before going to work and when I come home it is ready.

Since I have two separate aquariums I don't like to use water from either in case something gets hitched along which shouldn't.

One time I bought a cheaper brand which really looked dirty after defrosting. Actually rinsed it in fresh water before serving, just in case.

Hope this helps,

Anne
