Sidthimunki fighting

HELP!!! CAN ANYONE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS

1. I have 7 botia sidthimunki in my tank which I have had for three years, plus another three which I bought last Xmas. A few weeks ago the seven botias all started terrorizing each other as you describe in your article about breeding behaviour however this lasted for 3 - 4 days NOT 2 or 3 minutes. Unfortunately I lost one in these fights. What was going on ?

2. Can you tell me at what age they mature?

3. 3 of the original seven are losing the pattern all over them and are becoming fuller bellied? Are these the females?

4. Also, can they really grow to 6"?!! In all the books I have and from the shop I purchased them from I have been told they will only grow to 3.5".
