Well, if the platy was out of the tank too, the scenario could've been that the clown was chasing the platy, and the platy, with no place else to go, unfortunately found the escape opening and the clown just instinctively followed it out. I guess that throws the statement, "If I tell you to jump off a bridge are you gonna do it?" right out the window. :-)

Sorry, Herm, really. How disappointing it is to lose a favorite fish. I'm sure it's nothing you did wrong.
