I think I have a dumb question

This new clown loach I got today (see posting below) keeps his dorsal fin clamped. Since I am not very experienced with clowns and ich, could this be the reason for his clamped fin? Or maybe stress? Should I be watching for anything else? He really is a sad looking little creature, but tonight did show some interest in food.
