In my limited experience for what it's worth (2 yrs with clowns and 1 1/2 yrs with big clowns) they hardly have an aggressive bone in their bodies. The 10" alpha clown certainly gets cranky at times. It is the only one that seems to want some quiet time on its own and only ever gets mad when being pestered by others. Even then it only chases and clicks etc until it has made its point and then resumes resting without doing any damage.
As for killing and/or eating small fish, my 3 large guys could eat my rhummy nosed tetras as an afternoon snack but have never shown any interest in doing so.
However, this is only my experience and other peoples' "mileage" may be different.
