PVC tubes in Tank

Hello I have been trying to create the perfect clown loack tank. I am coinsidering using the white plumbing PVC tubes and 90's to make caves. I have plants in the tank so I keep the lights on for 10 hours a day. Has anyone used anything like this before. I was wondering if the pipes might put some toxin in the water or create a stagnant spot in the tank? Any info appreciated.
