My kuhlis are going wacko!

Just brought back some kuhlis ( 4 of them ) from a friends house. They are all about 3" long. The problem is, they are not very active in my friends aquarium, but when introduced into mine, they swim alot around the bubble output off my air-stone. Is this a sign of problem? I'm affraid they will die of tiredness because every day ( it's been 5 days now ) when I turned on the lights they are doing what they have been doing since I put them in my aquarium ( swimming up and down up and down and up and down ). I am worried about these kind of behaviour.
