The Wooly Loach clicking is believed by some to have evolved so that the loaches could find mates or friends that may have become separated by walls of ice in the glaciated landscape. The clicking vibrations could probably be felt for miles through the ice of the glaciers. The clicking behavior has survived in present day loaches.
It has long been debated whether the Wooly Loaches were carniverous or just opportunistic omnivorous scavengers. We may never know. All models of behavior are pure speculation.
You people are starting to get a little silly... salt-water loaches???
