Clowns and Snails?

I know that clown loaches will eat small snails. I have had one for about a year now (and just got another yesterday) and he has eaten them in the past from new plants i placed in the tank. However, i wanted to get a larger snail (such as an apple or ram's horn) to eat algea in the tank. I was wondering if it would be bothered by my clowns, or left alone because of its size.

Has anyone kept larger snails and clown loaches together? Thank you for your help.
