I really don't know, I saw it a long time ago in a pet warehouse magazine. If you have any extra money, get you a magnum cansiter filter with the micron cartridge. The diatom works very well too and the new Whisper Diatomagic, is really nice. It would be something worth buying if ur in it for the long haul. Otherwise, if you are like me (with no money to spare) then get some hornwort from the LFS. You can just let it float and not do anything special (like adding light or fertilizer) and it should clear it up an dyou can remove it. If you ever get it to go away, get a phospahte tester and keep up with the level and that should keep it from comming back. If the levels get too high, you can get a phosphate removing pillow to keep it down.
