Moving a tank forward a few inches.....

Hi everyone! I'm sorry this isn't Loach related, but I figured that if everyone else cpuld post a non Loach post here, maybe I could do it here just once as well. I have been waiting for about 2 years now to move my 80 gallon aquarium about 7 inches forward from where it is, so that I could place the filter in the back of the tank. The reason I want to do this is so that I can get the galss cover to fit on properly, and so that I could actually sustain live plants in the tank. Currently the filter is one the right side of the aquarium,which preventing this to happen. Unfortuneatly, we did not think of this before we put the filter on the aquarium. I am
